Mr. Wachter aa advised thet on July 16, 1935 I. L. Zuch of Zuoh's Ine., furniture - deslers et 305 Eaet 65rd Street, brought into the cleaning establishment of Wachter seven peire of gauze ecurtsins tobe cleaned and delivered to Mre. Buchalter at 115 Centrel Park West during Septerber, 1055S. It une etated thet the curteins upon examination were found to be ina tenier condition end for that reeson e letter wes addressed to Mre. Buchs) ter requesting edvice aa to whether she still wished the eleaning to teke Place. According to Mr. Wachter, his Lette? was returned by the post office for the reason that the eddressee had moved leaving no forwerding address. Mr. Wachter stated that he endeavored to secure the eddress of Mre, Buchalter through the Majestic Apartments end elso through the telephone compeny but could get no information. He also seid that he bes been trying to obtain her address from Mr. L. Zueh but has deen unable to find Mr. Zuch ineaamuch eg he trevele a great deal, ° Mr. Wechter stated thet he would communicate with the Hew York office if he is able to secure the sddress of Mra. Buchelter end for thia purpose the telephone number of the office, as well as the names of Special Agent E. FP. Guisane ané the writer were furnished to hin. Mr. Wechter was requested to treat the instant interviews in eon- fidence and he advised that he sould be glad to do so, . ‘ : ‘ ' " Agent McKee interviewed eonfidential informant end learned thet the informant wes well scquainteéd witb Louie Buchalter and his easociates. He stated thet the best known hang-out place of Buchalter ia « restaurent located et 77 Fifth Avenues. It was stated in connection with the ebove hang-out plece that Buchalter and his gecociates usually lesve the city on Fridey efternoons to spend the week-enie at such pleces es Atlentic City, N.J., South Fallsburgh, N.Y. and various plessure resorte located neer Hew York City, Informant stated that he was not ecqusintg! with Mrs. Betty Buchalter and heé no idea whore she sould be residing at the present time. He promised to try to learn her present place of residence through underworié (sources. Inspeetor John Lyons, Rew York Police Department, was again contacted for information with respect to the telephone cover which has been going on in connection with telephone number Schuyler 4- 4329 in the name of Mex Zweibel, 115 West Séth Street, New York City. He edvised thet the ebove cover bad been terminated in view of the fact thet it was unproductive of informstion of vwaiue.
