We Hazel Badsornderbille Mrse Underhill was charged in the Commissioner's eomplaint and warrant issued at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with having harbored Wilber Underhill at Shawnee, Oklahoma, on December 30, 1935, at tho time that he was apprehended after having been woundsd by Division agente and local authorities, she waa released on a $10,000.00 bonds Further records of the progress of this Prosecution | are ‘not at ‘present avaliable to the Kansas city office. Eva tine fiichole» On December 30, 1933, the Nichols woman was in e house a% Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the time the residence was reided by Division agents and local authorities, Underhili resisted arrest and it became necessary to use firearms, Mae Nichole died as a result of gun fire in the exchange of shots between Underhill and the officeras She was a close friend of Underhill and had been on @ party with hiy/and his wife on the night he was captureds ‘ae, Rai oe, alias RaymondiRoe. an ex-convict and desperate criminal, friend and cohort of the deceased Underhill, was found in the residence in Shameo, Oklahoma, which on December 30, 1935, was raided by Division agents and local authorities for the purpose of capturing Underhill. In the exchange of shote between officers and Underhill, when the latter attempted to escape, Roe was ahot and seriously « wounded, He was later tured over to Oklahoma City authorities where he is being held pending trial on charges of bank robbery, Records of this office do not contain information regarding prosecution for harboring Wilber Underhille Lon} ohnasens Lon Johnson was arrested December 30, 19335, after the cepture of Wilber Underhill at Shawnee, Oklahoma, on that date. He was charged in a Comaissioner's compleint with having harbored ani cone coaled Underhill, He, with "Sleepy Johnson, had harbored and concealed Wilber Underhill at a point near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in a residence a short time befare the actual capture of Underhill ecurred, > 7 , *sleepy*(Yohnsone ‘ The facts regarding "Sleepy" Johnson are identical _ With those sst forth under the name Lon Johnson, this in counection with the harboring of Wilber Underhill. It is respectfully requested that each field office which has instituted Prosecution for the harboring of any of the fugitives in this case carefully peruse this letter end furnish this offices and the Division with any additional facts regarding the abéve or any facts which may be at variance with the above,
