Dear Sir: RE: VERNON CAMILLER, Deceased, et al
CONSPIRACY TO DELIVER FEDSRAL PRISONER
Shortly after the massacre on June 17, 1933, when the house
formerly occupied by Vernon ¢. Miller at 6612 Edzgevale Road, Kansas City,
Missouri, Was discovered, a thorough search of the interior of the house
Was made by Special agent J. E. Brennen, of the Division, with acting ©
Chief of Detectives Jack Jenkins of the Kansas City, Kensas, Police
Department, in order to secure all available latent fingerprints thare.
By the use of powiers applied by those individuale there were numerous

\ principally from beer bottles of dark colored gless, a French style
% ~ telephone of black color and a clock of ailver metal finish with a round

a , vases Photographs of the latent fingerprints were taken immediately
a nor in the possession of this office and are being transmitted tc the
re xv Division for analysis io the laboratory. The objects fram which the

ye \ w After analysis it is requested that all films herewith trana- |
¥ \" w\a mitted be r‘turned to the Kansas City offices |
fo The telephone and clock from which these prints were taken were
of necessity returned to the premises immediately during June, 1933,
The beer ba&tles which yielded latent fingerprintea are being carefully |
preserved in the Kansas City office vault, properly identified, for the
reason that this case is considered of such great importance that if
they arz evar needed as evidence they should be available without any
danger of disturbance to the letent fingerprints now visible. If these
bottles were to be shipped to the Division for analysis they would be
apparently great danger of injury to the latent fingerprints eucountered.
The Keims City office has therefore not deemed aich procedure expediant,
unless the Division dould specifically so instruct.
