KEMORANDUL FOR TEE DIRECTOR. 5 + ¥ e x Agent in Charge Brantley called on the telephone end advised that ¢ wr he hed received a letter from stiles¥2lemmons, Post Office Box 33, Salina, 4 Oklahoma, advising that he could put Pretty BoysFloyd on the spot; that the £ z letter requested thet lir. Brantley personally cowe to see him as he could ce explain the proposition more clearly in a personal interview than he could . o in writing; thct the Deputy Sheriff at Saline is the only other person that 3 ~ knows of his proposition; that lest Spring kirs. Floyd and a lawyer came to § & his home ana offered hin $1,000.00 to make proper arrengements so thet Floyd < % could give up end get a life sentence; thet this same lawyer sent his a representative to see him on the 12th. of this month; that they rode within © = one half mile of the barn Floyd was using as 6 hide-out; thet he knows the @ i location of the barn and the name of the oimer thereof; that it will be a ” c dangerous proposition as they { Floyd is alleged to have four or five x others with him) have four machine guns.
