Major General STUART was advised that in the current investigation concerning the killing of four students at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, on May 4, 1970, it has been determined that there is a locked metal cabinet maintained in a vault at the Akron, Chio, Police Department, and is reported to be under the control of the Ohio National Guard. Major General STUART was advised that investigation was being conducted in an effort to identify the type, brand, and caliber of ammunition issued to- Ohio National - cabinet maintained in the Akron, Ohio, Police Department may provide this information. Ma‘jjor General STUART commented that all "“bali-type" ammunition supplied to the Ohio National Guard is issued by Federal sources of the United States Government.
