On the evening of April 17, 1974, ADOLPH LEWIN,
- doing business as Universal Gem and Jewelry Company, —
Incorporated, Room 604, 5 North Wabash Avenue, was con-
tacted at his place of business.
On this occasion, when initially contacted, mi
Special Agent (SA ED 21 one approached
LEWIN's office, R 604, which is equipped with an
electrically operated door lock, and rang the door to gain
entry. At that time, through the glass door and windows,
SA could observe LEWIN sitting at the left hand
de (as you enter the premises) facing the corridor, With
LEWIN at that time, with his back to the corridor, was
an unknown female customer. LEWIN upon hearing the bell,
looked up and not recognizing SA approached the
door where SA @@identified himself by displaying his
credentials, LEWIN upon examining the crecentials, admit-
ted the Agents to the premises,
Upon entering the premis d after again
identifying himself to LEWIN, SA suggested that
LEWIN finish his business with his customer,
Subsequently, after the customer left the premises,
LEWIN was advised that he was under arrest for a violation
of the Interstate Transportation of Stolen Property Statute.
LEWIN was also advised that a search warrant had been issued
for the premises and was at that time furnished a copy of
this search warrant,
