On May 22, 1974, ADOLPH LEWIN appeared before
U. S. District Court Judge WILLIAM LYNCH, NDI, Chicago,
Illinois. LEWIN, at that time, appeared in response to
a Government motion for revocation of probation and
during this hearing took the stand in his own behalf,
LEWIN, at that time, testified in open court to the effect
that the stolen property recovered from his premises by
Agents of the FBI on April 17, 1974, had been left there
by JACOB COHEN. It is noted that COHEN, subsequent to
this alleged incident, was shot and killed by BuAgents
and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, police officials in the latter
part of February, 1974, Judge LYNCH, after hearing the
Government's motion and LEWIN's testimony, immediately
revoked LEWIN's probation and ordered him to the custody
of the AG for a period of 90 days.
By Communication dated May 22, 1974, the FBI
Identification Division, Latent Fingerprint Section, advised
that an examination of the nine tissues previously submitted
by the Chicago Division were Processed and no latent prints
of value were developed on these itens.
