stated tat Lillian Hellman had spoken at a tea com.enorating
International Woman's Day, The article stated thet this tea
was held at the Soviet Consulate at New York City and sponsored
by the National Council of Amcrican-Soviet Friendship. (100.
26760-44, Pe “) was reliably reported in 1948, that Lillian
H.-liman was a eponsor of the National Council of Azerican-
Soviet Fricndship. Aceording to a letterhead of that
orgnisution dated July 6, 1949, Miss Hellren was also a
