Characteriz- ing Tshombe as the “worst Negro in the world,” Malcolm told the audience of about 1,000: “John- son is sleeping with him, Man you voted for him. You were insane, out of your mind. I don’t blame you. You were tricked.” Commenting on the fact that the U.S. government pays the salaries of the hired white troops in the Congo Malcolm X suggested: “Many of you are vets and many of you are unemployed, We might put on a drive in Harlem to r some black mercenaries.” he audience roared approval.
