Street, NW, Washington,.0.G, has received two typewritten letters, postmarked 01/27/2001 {from Columbia, South Carolina) and 02/26/2001 (from Atlanta, Georgia), which are threatening in mature. It is believed that the letters were sent from the same person or group, as they are similar in nature and content. In the letter postmarked 01/27/2001, the writer warns that NOW, "is offensive to Islam and [presumably, NOW membership] may be killed if you do not change or stop your operations." The letter gives a deadline of April 15th "to change." In the letter postmarked 02/26/2001, the writer refers to the "Sons of Islam" being outraged because NOW has not "heeded [previous] warnings." The letter further threatens that "You.will soon become gacrifices to Allah!" Both letters end with "BANGI" a per Both letters were sent to the FBIHQ Laboratory for processing.
