X¢ Mayo wae brought to Oklahoma sometime ago at the request of Mr. Brown, to ba used as a witness in the Osage murder cages in- “Y the Federal and State Courts. He testified before the Grand Jary at Guthrie which returned the Hale-Ramsey indictment, but was not used in the trial of these men, Since the Hale~Ramsey trial at Oklahoma . City, October last, Mayo has been confined in jail at Tulsa, pending - trial of the State cases against Hale and Ramsey for tbs mrder of W. £E.
