I enclose herewith memorandum from J, M Humphreys, =
Osage Tribal Attorney, relative to the murder of Charles Whitehorn, “~4. 22
a restricted Osage Indian, which occurred some time in May 1921.
The Tribal Attorney states in his memorandum thet he
hes information which in his opinion indicates that a certain
person has committed this crime and as the murdered person is an
Ogare Indian and was murdered on restricted Osage Indian lands, _
ne states that the United States would have jurisdiction in this .
matter. It is suggested, therefore, that this matter be jinvesti=<
gated by your bureau as soon as practical. ee
