Men Are Brothers! - Over 1,800 Attend Paul Robeson Concert,"
which set forth in part that the crowd of more than 1,800 _.

scheduled program, in evident appreciation, gave one of
those performances rarely heard in great concert halls;

Africa, India and China; recitations, prayers and the
"Death Scene* from "Othello"; that he displayed hla mastery
of languages by singing, in perfect idiom, English, French,
German, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, several African tongues,
Persian Sanskrit and Chinese; and on one occasion commented

ROBESON stated that all of his life he had been fighting
to prove that all men are brothers; that he was still
fighting to preve it; and that he intended to continue
fighting to prove if the rest of his life, There was
hushed silence for a moment, then a deafening roar
of applause, augmented by such vocal encouragement as:
*Tim with you, Paul"; "Stand your ground, man"; "There's
& real leader," and. "There's a real man. I wish there were
more like him,* 7
