in which the subject participated was the United Nations Day held under
the auspices of the United Packing House Workers of America, CIO, which
was attended by about 45,000 members. Arrangements for the subject's
appearance were made by PATTERSON and HERBERT, MARCH, reportedly a -
prominent member of the CPA as well as District Director of this Union.
The subject also attended a membership meeting of the UA, -
Local 453, CIO, in Chicago on May 13, 1945 at which he'was made an oe
