According to an MID report dated 1-21-46, the
Conntttee of Racial Yquality had been "recently revived" wtth
a meeting at the Harlem Ashran, 125th Street and Fifth Ave.,
HYC), where Roy Wilkins, newsoaper man and editor of the
'Crisia” nagazine, spoke on "The Postwar Plight of the Negro."
Wilkins told the audience that the major problen at that tine
was the FEPC bill.

The slate of officers elected at the January meeting
of the Boston NAACP was installed on 1-20-46, despite an order
from Nattonal NAACP hdgrs, tn New York, requesting that the
installation be postponed until reoresentatives of the New
York Office could vistt Boston, to investigate charges of
trregularities in the @lection. The order was received by
telephone fron Roy Wilkins of the National hdgrs. and was
announced at the neeting on January, 28. It was indicated
that the slate of officers installed was conmuntst supported.
