Arturo Rodriguez for violation of the Selective Service
Act.
On September 10, 1968, Arturo Rodriguez was
intereviewed by Special Agents of the Federal Bureau
of Investigation at New York, New York, concerning
the then recent series of bombings in New York City
which began April 22, 1968. Rodriguez admitted he
was a propagandist and until the end of August, 1968,
was a spokesman for "Cuban Power" in New York City.
Rodriguez denied participating or involving himself in
any bombing and stated that he merely made releases
concerning the bombings by "Cuban Power" then a Miami
based Cuban exkmile anti-Castro group.
On September 24, 1968, Rodriguez was arrested by
the New York City Police Department while attending a
demonstration outside the Henry Miller Theater on West
43rd Street, New York City, where the production "The Cuban
Thing" was playing. Rodriguez was charged with Reckless
Endangerment, Disorderly Conduct, and furnishing a false
report in that he was allegedly shouting inside the theater
"there is a bomb inside".
On October 23, 1968, Rodriguez was among ten
individuals arrested by the New York City Police
Department in connection with the bombings that had been
occurring in New York City since April, 1968. At this
time, Rodriguez was charged with Second Degree Arson and
Conspiracy to Committ Arson, Second Degree. At this time,
Arturo Rodriguez Vives' common law wife, Marilyn Rivera,
1370 University Avenue, Bronx, New York, was also arrested
for Possession of a Deadly Weapon in that she was in possession
of a .22 caliber automatic Selecta at the time of Rodriguez's
arrest on October 23, 1968.
On April 16, 1974, Arturo Rodriguez Vives was shot
twice in the head by an unknown male assailant in Vives
apartment.
On April 23, 1974, was
interviewed at her request in her home at Apartmen
New York, New York.
