developed any information which indicated that the
killer of Rodriguez Vives was a former member of the
SIM (Servicio Intelligencia Militar). The police
department had not developed any information indicating
that the murder of Rodriguez Vives had been done for
political reasons, or that it had been committed by
anyone connected with the then present Cuban Government.
The police department's investigation did indicate that
the murder of Rodriguez Vives was probably committed
by a "hit man" who in all probability had come into New
York to do the killing.
