"1- 0088 "Elfas de la Torriente; murdered April 12, 1974. Led the “Plan de Trabajo
para la Liberacién de Cuba." His group had been blamed by Castro for several «
commando attacks in Cuba. Torriente had received considerable support in the
Cuban exile community. He was a member of a prestigious Cuban family. He had
not been envolved in politics in the past. He traveled extensively and was
received by important officials in Latin American capitals.
Shot through a window of his home. A group, until then unknown , called "zero"
claimed credit for the execution.

2. Rodriguez Vives; murdered in New York right around the time of Torriente's
murder. He had organized a revolutionary organization. Someone came to see
chim and they sent his wife to get something to eat. Upon her return she found
“him dead.

3. Captain Luciano Nieves; former Captain in Castro's Army. Nieves had called: for
“a national reconciliation" between the former revolutionaries in exile and their
former allies still in Castro's government. The idea was to make an alliance
and get rid of Castro. He had announced he had contacts in Cuba.
Murdered in the parking lot of a hospital in Miami.
UNSOLVED. NO INDICTMENTS.
4. Ernesto Rodriguez; murdered in Miami. Former president of the Cuban Christian
Democratic Party. Supposedly killed during a robbery in his small shop. Nothing
was stolen.
UNSOLVED. NO INDICTMENTS.
5. Rolando Masferrer; ex-Batista henchman. Very well known. Blown to pieces when
he started his car in Miami. Although bombings are often investigated by the
FBI, this one I have been told, has been left as a local matter to the Miami
Police Department.

Oriente province. After the landing at Pigs and the subsequent fiasco his ship
was ordered not to land and was diverted to Puerto Rico.
Someone came to see him. He allowed this person and the’ “Visitor! S wife into
the house. She passed a gun to his visitor and he shot him. They left ina
rented car, and drove to a canal where they were picked up by a boat.
This is the most recent case. NO INDICTMENTS. UNSOLVED.
