Because of the extreme importance of knowing the communist influence in the civil rights movement at this critical time in the Nation's social history, plus the demonstrated past value of this source, it is recommended that it be continued for another 90 days. The Attorney General authorized continuation of this telephone surveillance effective July 1, 1968.
