to Aseistant Director John A. Nints has been brought
to my attention. In your letter you requested the

sections of our written instructions which set forth
our procedures regarding custodial interrogation of
@ suepect being questioned as to his guilt. Also,
epecifically, you are desirous of locating say
inatructions which would incicate thet it is the
FRI's policy not to attezpt to secure a waiver of
@ suapect'a Miranda rights after ha has once
indicated that he wishes to assert any of those
Fights, particularly the right to renain sileat.
