The Attorney Generai a. The "Chicago Report", so-called. More specifically, a report compiled ty the Chics Office of the F.B.1L detailing the relationship of members of The Weatherman organization and foreign governments or agents, b. Aay and all wiretaps or electronic sur- specifically, a wiretap or interception by C.L A. or National Security Agency agents or any other Government agency of one William Ayers, which tap or interception indicates contact with the Government of North Vietnam, Tt would appear that classified national security material and information, including that of a sensitive compartmented charae- ter, may become subject to disclosure ia this matter. In accordance with Title 28, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 17.65, I am report- ing this possible compromise of classified material to you and, by a copy of this memorandum, to the Chairman of the Department Review Committee. Since Sensitive Compartmented Information originating with the National Seeurity Agency may become subject to disclosure, you may desire to consult with that Agency regarding necessary clearance procedures. Also, you may desire to afford former Special Agent Kearney and his counsel, Hubert J, Santos, clearance for access to information classified by this Department and to secure their agree- ment to abide by the Department's regulations cone acceas to, security of and disclosure of classified information.
