During the conversation Mr. Pottinger referred to his
meeting with you December 6, 1976, wherein it was gpparent that «
there was some confusion on the part of the Deputy*Attorney Gen@gal's }
Office concerning his (Pottinger's) ability to furnish informat ;
of this nature to the FBI. Pottinger said that some time ago hE -y ‘
