. . Memorandum to Mr. Cleveland Re: Surreptitious Entries In regard to Item 6, this does not apply since the purpose of entry was solely for installation purposes. In regard to Item 7, no other organizations of government, local or Federal, prompted or participated in the entry. In regard to Item 8, the identity of FBI personnel involved in the entry is not retrievable at FBI Headquarters. It is further pointed out that approval of entry is handled under the provisions of Title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968. In the preparation of affidavits, FBI Agents coordinate activities with the appropriate U. S Attorney in the judicial district where installation is desired, and the affidavit is forwarded to FBI Headquarters for review by appropriate supervising Agents, Legal Counsel Division, and the Director of the FBL Thereafter, it is forwarded to the Department of Justice for approval of the Attorney General or his designate. Thereafter, approval is obtained from a U. S. District Judge in the district of origin of the affidavit.
