RE: RUMORS OF RACIAL VIOLENCE GROWING OUT OF DOUBLE HOMICIDE INVOLVING RIVAL MOTORCYCLE GROUPS, CLEVELAND, OHIO, FEBRUARY 28, 1968 were out on the night of February 27, 1968, looking for each other, but they never met. Members of both gangs were armed, The Bell's Angels reportedly gathered at Barto's Cafe in the Cie early morning hours of February 28, 1968, after their ~ fruitless search for God's Children. They beat up a Negro 8, APPROX plane player, OBERT WILLIAMS, age 30, at the Cafe but stopped ° when the barmaid intervened. For a time the 15 or 16 members of the Hell's Angels were orderly, did not cause any trouble, merely played pool and drank beer. L) Then a group of the Hell's Angels gathered around RCOSEVES™ BROWN and they began to break beer bottles over his head, “(MES 0,' TILLET attempted to intervene and was shot.
