KC 77-6303 stated that he would recommend MARSHALL as a wery able lawyer who is extremely capable in trial work and unquestionably the foremost attorney on civil rights bre matters in the United States. He described MARSHALL's courtroom demeanor as masterful. He stated that it was his opinion that MARSHALL would make a good judge. He stated further that MARSHALL acted in his capacity as chief legal counsel with the NAACP.
