and with the National Lawyers Guild as a.speaker in 1948 and executive qWetee
board member in 1949. Both organizations are cited by the House Committee -
on Un-American Activities. He was also a sponsor in 1944-o0f the National
Federation for Constitutional Liberties, designated by the Attorney General.
On October 28, 1943, Marshall received a ‘check for $247. 5 fTom
