He stated that the only time he observed HOFFMAN incite a crowd was on Sunday, August 25, 1968, at Linecln Tark. At about 6:00 pm on that date, HOFITIAN and other - individvals, including JERRY AUBIN and ED SADRNS, wanted , - fo use a flat-bed truck for a stage for their Yippie Music ~— Festival in Lincoln Park. The police wovld not allow then to bring the truck in te the park. HOFFMAN then ran up and ee urged a huge crowd to help in driving the truck through ee the Police barricade. Tney finally decided not to use the truck and this was the only time he heard HOFIMAN attempt to incite @ crowd, r anil Pos On August 26, 1968, HOFFMAN advised a group of * 30 or 4O people at 1800 Stockton Avenue, Chicago, that —. derionstrators were needed at the Chicago Transit Authority a barn at iiversey Avenue and Clark Street, Chicazo. He did not go himself but he got several people to march there. ~—— HOFFMAN told the surveilling Agents that it was oe! all right for ther to be with him and indicated that he _ considered them to be his bodyguards. But he stated to - Ze then "the 28th belongs to us. ‘Je are going to tear up the 4 7 city and march." He made it a point to advise the Polf-e officers that he was “on the cuts" with JERRY NUBIN. Hie advised that HOFFMAN would meet with two, three or four people, get them organized and then go organize another group.
