HOFFMAN resided at 1437 West Belmont Avenue,
Chicago, and at 1717 North Hudson Avanus, second floor,
Chicago, while here for the DIC, The landlord at 1437
West Belmont Avenve, objected to the Yippies who were
confregating and asked them to leave, HOFMAN then went
to 1717 North Hudson Avenue to reside.
HOFFMAN spent quite a bit of time at Natimal
Nobilizetion Committee headovarters, 407 South Dearborn
Street, Chicagoe In the afternoons he usually would fo
to his apartment at 1717 North Hudson Avenue, for a siesta.
He advised that ED SANDERS, from New York City,
was the "money man" for the Yippies. Ie had a room at the
Lincoln Hotel and was observed with HOFFMAN on several
occasions, but did not make any speeches.
He said thet the day HOFFMAN was arrested,
August 28, 1968, HOFFMAN left the Police Department, ilth
end State Streets, at 8:30 pm, and, to his knowledce,
cid not participate in the denonstration at Balbo and
Michigan Avenue, Chicago, that evening.
