6/21/45:
The MGb in Washington, D. C., made available
to the MGB in Moscow certain information
attributed to "Ruble". Material supplied
by "Ruble" consisted of a letter written
on 3/8/45 by a London employee of OSs
(possib1y GERSTLEVMACK) to a U.S. Treasury
Representative in'Engrand. Several persons
were enumerated who had sent Nazi funds
abroad through other than normal banking
channels.
6/28/45:
X"Rouble" ("Ruble") furnished material to
the MGB Representative which was subsequently
transmitted from Washington, D. C., to.
MGB Headquarters in Moscow..
The material
made available by "Rouble" involved an :.
interoffice memo of the Treasury Department'
apparently prepared by J. B.XFRIEDMAN on
6/18/45. The MGB also furnished an excerpt
from this memgc reflecting that on 6/l8/45
Major WHEELERAGREy,listed questions in
connection"with*a discussion held at the
Treasury Department on 6/14/45. The
information concerned postwar treatment of
German war criminals.
