PELosI at her office in the San Francisco Federal Building, 450
Golden Gate Avenue, 14th Floor. Inside the business size
envelope was an 8 % x 11 inch folded sheet of paper with the
following computer generated message: NOT ONE RED CENT for war in
Irag." Underneath this message was a computer generated picture
of a copper colored penny with droplets of blood dripping from it
in red.
now!" Inside this piece of paper was an actuai penny which was
covered in a thick, oily red colored substance. The envelope was
postmarked Detroit, MI on 2/1/2o05. There was no return address.
The recipient's address was handwritten.

opened the letter and got the substance on her hands..

not feel any stinging sensation and the substance did not have
any detectable odor.

The letter was tested by the California Department of
Health Services Laboratory. On 2/14/2o05, the findings were
