From December, 1958, until September, 1959,
Representative Culver operated a rent-a-car service, Cedar
Rapids, Iowa. He enrolled at Harvard University Law School
in 1959 and attended until 196z, receiving an LL.B. degree.
During the Summer of 1960 he served as Dean of Men at Harvard
Uniyersity.
From November, 1962, unti1 September, 1963, he served
as legal assistant to Edward M. Kennedy, United States Senator
from Massachusetts. Thereafter, until January, l965, he resided.
in Marion, Iowa, and engaged in the practice of law. He was
affiliated with the law firm of McGuire, Bernau and Culver,

Police Incident, " and indicates the United States Congressman
from Iowa admitted on April 9, 1965, scuffling with Number Eight
Precinct policemen who a week before pulled him sound asleep
