CINCINNATI #123-747 Mrs. ESTHER OLDT, Personnel Adviaor, Antioch College, said that she knew applicant very well as she was his counselor during his entire schooling here at Antioch. She said that she recalls appli- and does feel that applicant and his wife used poor judgment prior to their marriage when they were working at the canp ss students, and that she feels their association together may have caused a disturbing in- fluence on the children at the canp. lowever, she advised that there was. some question in her mind as to whether the rating of unsatisfactory was. entirely justified. Mrs. OLDT said that. she feels applicant and his wife have very good morsls and characters; that their reputations are excellent; that they have very good associates and judgment, and that they are very loyal Americans. She further advised that she would recommend applicant for any position of trust, and that he is very qualified in his field of radio work. Mr. BASIL PILLARD, Proressor, Antioch College, said that. he knew applicant and his wife as students and residents on this campus during their school years, and that he al.so knew appiicant's brother, ROBERT sERLING, very well as a student. He said that he found applicant,. his wife, and brother well regarded and above average students, and that he would recommend them as persons having excellent character traits, school, and that he feels they are all very loyal Americans.. Mr. JOHN SPARKs, Professor, Antioch College, said that he. knew apnlicant, his brother and wife as students at this school who were all members of his classes. He further gave substantially the same in-. formation as Mr. PILLARD. Mr. FRED MILLEn, Senior Student, Antioch College, stated. here at the college, and that they resided together in the same dormitory. for about two years. He said that he found applicant one of the best persons he has ever known as to character, morals, living habits and conduct,. and that he feels applicant is a very loyal. Anerican who keeps good asso-. ciates and friends, He further stated that he also knew applicant's brother. and wife, and that he feels they were loyal American students who had good character traits and living habit3. Mrs. wILLIAM NOTLEy, Senior Student, Antioch College, ad-. vised that she was in the same dormitory with applicant's wife for two years, and that she also knew applicant and his brother very well as students.
