It is to be noted that Levison attended St.
Johns Law School from the period 1935 to 1939.
With respect to the American Law Students
Association, the Sunday edition of the "New York Times"
dated December 27, 1936 on Page 10, Colunn 1, under the
heading "Society Formed By Law Students" set forth the
following:
nThe American Law Students Association,
designed to deal with legal, ethical, social and econonic
problens affecting law school students, was formed yesterday
by students from the law schools of Columbia University,
New York University, St. Johns University, and Brooklyn
Law School in this city, and Harvard and Yale.
"During their three hour meeting in the Bar
Association Building, the students showed greatest intarst
in the economic difficulties that are confronting them as
law clarks and as young lawyers. Suggestion of a minimum
wage for clerks brought a withdrawal for the St. Johns
Student Council. Assurance that the organization would

St. Johns Council was elected Vice President of the new
organization.
"The group finally adopted the proposal
by the LnFieiD Comittee that the Association -take

law school faculties, and other legal groups to improye
