When interviewed during the early part of
1954 in connection with another matter, Father JosepH *
T. TILLANEy, Dean of St. Johns University Law School in
Brooklyn, New York, stated as follows in connection with
the American Law Students Association. Father TILLANEY
said that it. was his understanding that the American Law
Students Association was conceived with ethical and loyal intontions
in l936. The St. Johns Council was active in the association
for approximately one year and the association became rather.
dormant thereafter to the best of his knowledge. He added
that it was his understanding that the American Law Students
Association became connected with persons and organizations
of questionable patriotism and then died out entirely...He.
