Downing / ANNUAL FBI RETREAT LOYOLA RETREAT HOUSE FAULKNER, MARYLAND JANUARY 9 - 11, 1970 Since the date of the last Annual FBI Men's Retreat gways and means to continue the interest and participation in this annual event have been discussed with Father John M. Daley, Director, Loyola Retreat House, Faulkner, Maryland. Father Daley suggested that per- haps a well-known speaker might have the desired effect. The name of Fulton J/Sheen, Bishop of Rochester, who is an acquaintance of Father aley, was mentioned as a possible candidate and an invitation was sub- sequently extended to him. : . I have been informed that Bishop Sheen has accepted an invi- tation to lead the next Annual FBI Men's Retreat and will be with our group during the entire period from Friday evening to late Sunday after- noon, January 9 through 11, 1970. i ooo . As will be recalled, he spoke at an eminently successful FBI Communion Breakfast séveral years ago as well as ata National Academy graduation exercise. . yl tee a .
