_ Information concerning the subject about the timo of the
captioned surder reflects that on November 18, 1946 the Officer in
Charge of the Brig, Pier 91, 13th Naval District, Seattle, Washington,
advisod that the subject was ‘there and wus being held awaiting dispo-
sition. Tae Department of the Navy, in advising. tho Bureau of the
subject's most recent exploits, indicated that Demara was teied by
court-martial in 1948. : : . i
A review of the Burcau file reflects that subject was inter-

-Lewed at tne time of his apprehension on tho desertion charge, at
which time he stated that he left Erie, Ponnsylvania, during March
or April, 1946 and traveled to Los ‘Angoles where he stayed at the
_ 8b. John of God Sariitorium, Western Avenue. Subject stated he stayed
at the Sanitorium approximately throe months and upon leaving there
went to St. Martins Colloge, Lacey, Washington. ‘the investi ation
reflected that subject first appoared at St. Martins College on July
6, 1946... This would indicate that Domara was in Los Angeles for
approximately three months, from some ti.e in March or April until
early in June, 1946. v
