ARRESTS AND CONVICTIONS
None.
FACTIONALISM
During August, 1971, no information was received other
than that a Winston-Salem, N. C., group continues to follow
HUEY P. NEWTON.
* GER cone had advised that the BPP Cleaver
Faction underground has moved to an undisclosed North Carolina
location. Contactswith extremist sources have not substantiated
this allegation.
PART IL
The following is a summary of BPP activities in the
Charlotte Division:
The Free Breakfast for Children Program started on
9/6/71, at BPP Headquarters, 1333 North Patterson Ave.
Approximately ten (10) children each day are being fed under
this program which is being spearheaded by MARY McDONALD,
assisted by several neighborhood women volunteers.
‘ghe major activities of the BPP group at Winston-Salem
N. C., centered around the trial of LARRY LITTLE, JULIUS
CORNELL, and GRADY FULLER which began in Forsyth County Superior
Court, Winston-Salem, N. C., on 9/20/71. The BPP members were
represented by three American Civil Liberties Union attorneys
