Mr. Irrgang stated that there is a surplus of grapes this yeer
and that 400,000 tons have been left m the vines, having been purchased
by the Farm Loan Board, to be used as by products.

Building, Chicago, Illinois, was a very close friend of Joe Ferrera and
wes lined up with him am will probably be connected with Mamy Schrieber
in the buying of grapes this years
Mr. E. BE. Mills, 1425 South Racine Avenue, Chicago, Illinois,
treasurer of the U. S. Fruit Auction Canpany, Chicago, Illinois, is out of
Chicago at the preset time ani will not be back until Wednesday, September
24, 1950, when he will be intaviewed by Agents of the Chicago Bureau office,
Mr. C. R. Godding, 66 Saith Water Market, Chicago, Illinois,
tbeoretary of the U. 8. Fruit Auction Canpany, whichis the auction in which
the juice grape cers are sold, stated that he accanpanied At. E. E. Mills
and ir. Charles Irrgeng to Washington, D. C., on September 17, 19H, and
that on September 15, 19M, these gentlemen had a conference with Mr. Teague
of the Farm loan Boerd in the moming, and in the afternoon had a camference
with Mtr. Dodd of the Criminal Divisio of the Department of Justice. Mr.
Godding stated that Ltr. Irrgang at these conferences did most of the
talking as tir. Irrgang was mare familiar with the matter of the racket in
the juice grapes business in Chicago, Illinois.

was incorporated in 1926 in Chicag under the laws of the State of Illinois,
with a capital stock of $250,000, $190,000 of which has been paid ine
51% of the issued stock of the U. S. Fruit auction Company is owed by the
Chicago Auction Company and the Indepahdent Fruit Auction Company, of
which the Independent Fruit Auction Cammy oma 60% of the 51%, and the
Chicago auction Company ome 40% of the 51%, the remaining 49% of the
U. S. Fruit Auction Canpany being owmed by individuals interested in tl
fruit and produce bus inesse
