was stated that gambling and racket splits were decided
and a decision to purchase a race track located in Havana,
Cuba, was made.
In October, 1954, Albert Anastasia was tried in
Federal court 4n Florida on charges of evading income tax
payments of over $11,000 for the years 1947 and 1948. After
five weeks of trial the jury failed to reach a verdict and
a@ new trial was ordered.
