Boyer, Communist rriter, charged that the House Committee on Un-American Activities made a remark about him in en effort to discredit the Culture] and Scientific Conference for World Pesce held in March 1949, #t the Waldorf-Astoria. It was further steted that the House Committee aeserted thet Mr. Boyer had advocated civil discbecience at a conference session to an audience that included Dr. ‘lbert Einstein, Dr. Harlow William Shapley and other scientists, some of them engaged in atomic work.
