The YSA=-C as cf November, 1959, prcclaimed itself to be a city-wide revolutionary youth organizaticn designed to build sccialis= in America and aimed toward youth on college campuses in the Chicago area and as being independent of all adult groupings. Accordirg to a second source in May, 1964, the YSA-C, also knewn as the University Yourg Socialists, was cansidered the youth ercup of the Chicago Branch SWP.and affiliated with the naticual crganizatisn cf the YSA in New York.
