All men are members of one’ human family. Our religious heritage: ditects us to love our neighbors—indeed to love our enemies as well. We are appalled by the human tragedy and suffering involved in the struggle in Vietnam. Peace must prevail so that the peoples of the world may work together to relieve poverty and meet human needs. Therefore, we summon religiously concerned men and women from all parts of the riation, from all walks of life, of all colors and creeds, to join in this crucial hour in silent vigil atthe Pentagon, Washington, D.C., May 11 and 12: a) To express before God and,men the sincere desire of the American people for a peaceful sertlement in Vietnam; t (2) To express concern at the escalation of the war, especially the U.
