The "Guide to Subversive Organizations and Publications" issued
December 1, 1961, by the House Committee on Un-American Activities, page 115,
contains the following citation regarding the National Committee to Abolish
the Un-American Activities Comittee (NCAUAC).
"Cited as a tnew organization? set up in the Sunmer of 1940 to
lead and direct the Comsunist Party's "Operation Abolition't campaign. Seven
of the national leaders of this group have been identified as Comaunists."
A source has advised that the NCAUAC changed its name on March 3,
1962, to include the word "House" in its nane, thereby becoming known as the
. National Committee to Abolish the House Un~American Activities Comaittes
(NCAHUAC)«
A second source advised on June 28, 1965, that as of that date the
NCAHUAC continued to function with headquarters at 555 North Western Avenus,
Los Angeles, California.
