ery APPENDIX CALIFORNIA LEGISLATIVE CONT The’ "Guide to Subversive Organizations" Revised, January 2, 1957, contains the following, information concerning the CLC: "A political and legislative agitation and pro- pegande front" which "has been characterized by complete subservience to the twists and turns of the Communist Party line." (California Senate Fact-Pinding Committee on Un- American Activities, Report, 1951, page 253). An informant advised on October 16, 1957, that the CLC was formed in about 1947 and went out of existence during the late Spring of 1957. APDERDIX
