In view of the number of persons and organizations that had used these "quotations" and would want to vindicate their use of them if possible, it seems a safe bet that if they did not produce evidence of their authenticity, none exists. Many people, including President Eisenhower, have also quoted Lenin as saying that the Communist world would succeed in making the United States spend itself in- to destruction.
