Even if i were not é conscientious cbhjector, I would hope that I would be able to refuse induction today because cf the immorality of the wer in Vietnam. I alsa feel strongly that the selective service system itself is inmorel and contrary to the values of a democratic society. It discriminates against those who are poor or black, and against those who held unorthedox religious or poli- tical beliefs. I believe in the democratic traditions of America. I hope that my actions today will help make those traditions a living reality.
