Dear Rept. Brown,
Congratulations on your victory at the polls last Tuesday. You
do a fine job representing the people of our district.
My letter today is not mainly for the purposes of saying congratu-
lations, however. I am dismayed at the happenings in Atlanta
regarding t*> wor4-r- -f the black children there. From the radio
and newspaper accounts it seems the local authorities are putting
forth maximum efforts to locate the person or persons responsible.
At one goint a comment was made that the F.B.I. had been asked to
provide expert assistance, but the request was not granted because
it was not within their jurisdiction, Could not another look be
taken to allow the F.B. to enter the case on the presumption that

I would appreciate hearing from you that you have used your personal
and official influence in helping stop these horrid happenings in
our country.
