RE: UNITED FARM ¥ KERS, DEMONSTRATION AT FORT LEWIS, WASHINGTON JANUARY 14, 1971 INFORMATION CONCERNING and reportedly was active in anti-military demonstrations in the California area. On August 3, 1970, he rented a Post - Office box which has been used as the address of the "Lewis- McChord Free Press," an underground newspaper of which the editorial policy has been to create dissension among military " personnel at Fort Lewis and WcChord Air Force Base. At the time of obtaining the box, SULLIVAN indicated GIs United was an affiliated organization, \ Another arrestee, DALE V, BORGESON, was a former PFC at the U. S. Army Training Center‘at Fort Lewis who wrote an article entitled "Comment on Conscience” which appeared in Volume 1, #1, of the “Free Press" in August, 1970. BORGESON was separated as a conscientious objector at Fort Lewis, Washington in October, 1970. The Pacific Counseling Service has been located at 917 Court C, Tacoma, Washington, The “Staff House" of the PCS has indicated its address is 420 "L" Street, Tacoma.
