This article discloséd that Mrs. Martin Luther King, SCLC, was a member of the Steering Committee of the group [SJ (0) Add. info. according to a leaflet ued by the November 8 Mobilization Committee and furnished by (0) 105-138315-4254 p.3,12 Hit The "Bring the Troops Home Now NewBhetter” (100-445064), Volume 1 No. 15, dated. 10/17/66 obtained through Boston's confidental malibox disclosed that Mrs. Martin Luther King was a sponsor for the November 5-8, 1966 Mobilization; ay Newsletter enclosed ; (aey 120e8-28 encl. p.4 1 Grenada County Freedom Movement, advise at on rs. rtin Luther King and her Negro male piano accompanist arrived in Grenada, Mississippi via a flight from Atlanta. On this date she gave a vocal recital at the New Hope Baptist Church, Grenada, that was sponsored by the Grenada County Freedom Movement. Following the recital Mrs. King left by private auto en route to Memphis. Members of the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol and the Grenada Police Department were on hand to afford coverage. No incidents were reported in comnmection with her visit. ree, -54-2127 encl. p.1,2 1 The December 10-11, 1966 issue of the “Southern Courier," a weekly newspaper published at Montgomery, Alabama, reported that the _ Montgomery Improvement Association's eleventh anniversary celebration had been held the previous week, Corretta Scott King was the guest speaker at the Women's Program held at the Holt Street Baptist Church.
