HUMPHREY, ETC. JOHN YARD - | > NANCY ROZMAN - FRANCES DOSTAL - Peal TED DOSTAL - Between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM on July 2, 1968, a Special Agent of the FBI observed a group of approximately 15 teen-agers demonstrating at the intersection of Lorain Avenue and West 45th Street at the time the Vice-President and his party were visiting the Spanish-American Committee for @ Better Community, 4500 Lorain Avenue. The demonstrators were gathered in a small group on Lorain Avenue and were carrying a crudely made paper banner approximately 10 feet long. The banner bore a hand-lettered slogan opposing Vice-President HUMPHREY. A the bottom of the banner was the hand-printed inscription "West Side Kids Against HUMPHREY." Several older youths were observed circulating among the onlookers and distributing a one-page mimeographed flyer, the contents of which are set forth verbatim below: "MONEY FOR JOBS, NOT WAR "**Why are there not enough jobs for guys on the Near West Side? -3- CONF IMENTIAL
